Frequently asked questions

How long will my order take?

Stock items ship in 1–2 business days. Custom prints depend on the print itself — a small part may be done the same day, a large one can take several. Your quote shows the estimated print time, and we confirm a ship date when we approve the order.

Why does the site authorize my card instead of charging it?

Because an automated quote can be wrong. Authorizing holds the funds without taking them, which gives us a chance to check your model is printable and the estimate is fair. If it is not, we tell you before anything is charged — and if you decline the revised price, the hold is released and you pay nothing.

What file formats do you accept?

STL and 3MF. 3MF is the better choice if you have it: it carries units and separate objects, so a multi-part model arrives already split and each piece can take its own color.

How accurate are printed parts?

Roughly ±0.5 mm, or ±0.5% on larger dimensions. If your part has to fit something precisely, say so when you order — we can adjust tolerances on specific features, but we need to know which ones matter.

Will I see layer lines?

Yes. FDM printing builds in layers and they are visible on every part. That is normal and not a defect. Finer layer heights make them less obvious but take longer and cost more.

Can you print something I found online?

If you have the right to have it printed, yes. Many free models are licensed for personal use only, which can make a commercial print a license breach. That check is yours to make — see our IP policy.

Do you print firearm parts?

No. Not firearms, and not firearm components: no receivers, frames, magazines, suppressor parts, auto sears or conversion devices. This is a firm policy with no exceptions.

Do you offer local pickup?

No — we are an online, ship-only shop. Every order is packed and posted, anywhere in the United States. There is no storefront to visit and no collection option.

Do you do bulk or wholesale runs?

Yes, and per-unit pricing drops significantly with quantity because setup and handling are spread across the run. Contact us with quantities and we will quote it properly.

What if my print arrives damaged or wrong?

Email us within 7 days with photos and we will reprint or refund it at no cost to you. Keep the packaging until it is sorted.

Can you design something for me?

Yes. We design printable parts from your sketches, photos or measurements, including replacement parts for something broken, and we change existing models so they fit, mount or print better. Every design job gets a fixed quote before any work starts — request one on our Design & Scanning page.

Can you 3D scan an object?

Yes, for objects about 4 inches (10 cm) across and larger that ship as a standard parcel. You send the object to us and shipping both ways is included in your quote. We deliver a printable mesh (STL or OBJ) or rebuild the scan as an editable CAD model. Smaller parts are usually better measured and modeled, and we will tell you which suits yours.

Do I own the files you design or scan for me?

Yes. Once the job is paid, the design is yours: you receive the print-ready STL and the editable STEP file, and we do not sell, publish or reuse it.

How much does CAD design or 3D scanning cost?

Each job is quoted on its own once we know what is involved, and you get one fixed price before any work starts. There is no hourly meter running.

Is PETG food safe?

The raw material is, but a printed part is not. Layer lines trap bacteria and cannot be cleaned reliably. We do not certify any printed part for repeated food contact.
